Melanie is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources with over 25 years of experience in Human Resources Management. She brings a rich and diverse set of experiences to her work and has guided HR teams to create and implement numerous processes and systems that enable organizations to engage their employees and achieve strong results. Projects have included facilitating strategic planning and team building sessions, developing corporate performance management and recruitment systems and developing/implementing training programs. Melanie has been a speaker at numerous professional development events and is known for her energetic and informative presentations. She is also an an active local, provincial and national media contributor and has been a Board member for the Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA). As testimony to her exceptional work within the HR profession, Melanie was recognized with the HRIA’s Distinguished Career Award in 2014. As well, Melanie was awarded the inaugural Mount Royal Faculty Association Teaching Excellence Award in 2014 and the Western Alumni Association’s 2016 Professional Achievement Award.
